What is a Web Navigation Guide for?

To make accessing the information easier.

Given the vast amount of information published and maintained on the Ministry of the Economy and Competitiveness (hereinafter, "MINECO") website, the purpose of this guide is to make it easier for visitors to navigate the site: http://www.comercio.mineco.es.

• The guide will contain and define:
• The navigation design and the different areas of the screen.
• The content structure.

The development criteria as regards compliance with standards and accessibility.

The following sections can be defined given the following distribution of information on the Trade home page:

[1] Logos of the Ministry of the Economy and Competitiveness and the State Secretariat for Trade, with links to their web pages and top toolbar with links to content in different languages and content search engine for searching by keyword. The different help options include: Home, Site Map and Contact Us. Accesses to the different areas of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade's web page in the menus bar.

[2] Drop-down menus to access the web site's two main sites: Foreign Trade, Domestic Trade and Foreign Investment.

[3] Links to State Secretariat, Services, Online Procedures and Legislation. 

[4] Noteworthy services provided by the State Secretariat for Trade.

[5] New features.

[6] More content. 

[7] Links to useful web sites and those related to the areas of responsibility of the Ministry of the Economy and Competitiveness.

[8] Page footer.  Access to the different parts of the web site: Home, Browsing Guide, Accessibility, Legal Notice, Personal Data Protection and Localisation.

Pursuant to the Information Society Services and e-Commerce Act, we are working to improve accessibility of the Trade website.

All pages on the official Trade site (www.comercio.mineco.es) comply with all the priority 3 checkpoints (level AAA conformance) defined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG ) by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI ) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
